The media shows us videos about how appalling the Jewish people are; however, are they as awful as the media shows us? I talked to a man in Israel, I know his identity, but he wanted to be anonymous, because the Arabs would probably want to kill him, if they find out, he said bad things about the Arabs. In great respect of his overwhelming courage to tell me about the situation in Israel, we therefore gave him the cover name “Daniel”.

 

Daniel told me about his life.  In the nineteen nineties, when Daniel was 11 years old, he and his parents emigrated from Russia to Israel with many other Russian people because of the persecution of the Jews. Now, Daniel is in his thirties and work at Negev Camel Ranch, where I met him. Daniel leads tourists on camels around at Negev Camel Ranch and feels sadness inside every day. He feels sadness because, as he describes it, the whole world is against the Jews.

He says, “It’s depressing and hopeless to be Jewish. The world press supports the Arabs and shows the world a wrong picture of the conflict”.

 

Daniel tells about how the world press shows us, that the Jews bombed a kindergarten in Gaza, however, they omit to inform us about the reason why the Jews did it. They did it because the Arabs hid bombs in the kindergarten. The kindergarten was used as an arsenal, so of course the Jews wanted to destroy it to protect their people.

 

Because the Jews are smart, especially at technology, they made drones (unmanned aerial vehicle, often armed) that destroys bombings from the Arabs. Therefore, not many Jews have died in the war, which is opposite to the Arabs, who have lost many people in the war. This is another reason why the Arabs gets more sympathy than the Jews.

 

The Arabs send videos to the world press about how ghastly the Jews are, however, the Arabs shows the world a wrong picture of the conflict. The Arabs record videos of bombs hitting their own children while the Arabs are screaming. People around the world then thinks that the Jews bombed Arab children; however, the Arabs did it themselves, just to show the world a wrong picture of the Jews. This is a serious problem, as everyone get prejudgmental. The videos are not what they look like.

 

Daniel – despaired - says, “The Arabs get sympathy from the west, because the media shows us frightful pictures and videos of wounded children. The media does not inform us about the story behind. People don’t care about the real story; they just react when they see wounded people”.
